Since the McGill administration has let it be known that they can and do access users' "private" computer files in secrecy and without notification, I don't consider my McGill email to be one suitable for confidential communications.

In fact, it appears from the conclusions of the grievance hearing that since I once inadvertently communicated nominative information to someone outside of the university, the administration may, with impunity, investigate my computer files, in secrecy, at any time.

Those wishing to correspond with me privately are urged to contact me instead at jcooperstock@gmail.com. Note that if you're a McGill employee and don't wish your message to be seen by our administration, you might want to consider using a non-McGill email yourself!
